Any cat owner will know that domestic felines can get up to bizarre behaviour at the best of times but this one takes the biscuit.
Brigit, a 6-year-old Tonkinese cat has been caught stealing men's underpants and socks by her owner Sarah Nathan.
Tonkinese cats are known as nocturnal hunters but her choice of prey is indeed quite unusual. Nathan has revealed that in total Brigit took 11 pairs of boxers and over 50 pairs of socks since January.
She has tried to return the garments by leaving notes in mail boxes but to no avail. Thus she put an ad in the local paper and has now taken to reddit to find the owners and shame her kleptomaniac kitty.
Sarah and Brigit will be moving homes soon so she's hoping that her cat burglar will develop new hobbies in their new environment.
“Hopefully there’s something there she can find to catch, but if not we may have to stash some undies around the farm to keep her stimulated," Nathan said.
