Why? Because the word is Ronda Rousey is going to be involved in some way, according to a number of sources.

According to a report in The Sun, McGregor's team was in the middle of negotiating a deal with the WWE for an appearance at WrestleMania 34. However, the idea has been pretty well rubbished by pretty much every one in the known.

Like who, you ask? Dana White, for one. In an interview on mid-morning talk show Good Day New York, White physically showed a text conversation between himself and Vince McMahon, with McMahon claiming the whole thing was "news to me." McMahon did, however, state that it "might be a good idea someday, but not now."

Roll tape and see for yourself.

Need more proof? Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter poo-pooed the whole thing and said the story was inaccurate and that no talks have taken place - but cautioned that if McGregor wanted to do it, it could happen pretty quickly.

There's been endless rumours that McGregor could step into a wrestling ring at some point in the near future, but don't expect it to happen at WrestleMania 34.
