UPDATE: 11.35 am - Niall Horan apologises on Twitter for comments made at fans -

@Niallofficial: "really sorry if I caused any offence. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates... but I understand that it's not a word I should be using at all."

See video below.

Wow. Niall Horan really does believe he's Justin Bieber, what with the public fan "dissing" 'n all.

The Irish Daily Mirror today reports that Horan refused to pose for photos with fans after arriving in Dublin Airport yesterday. Instead he "barged his way through the crowd" calling them all a "shower of hoors." Or rather "hewers".

It all kicked off when one of his excitable "hoors" requested he wish her a happy birthday. He made the comment and started making his way towards the exit, like courier back from Santa Ponsa. Then he copped on, probably realising the whole thing was being recorded, soon to be posted on YouTube, and decided to be a bit marginally more civil.

When the video appeared on YouTube, some of his "hoors" attempted to defend his comments - like the person who posted the video... except she reckons Niall in fact called them a shower of "c***s."

Under their video, "Chelsea" wrote: "C**t really isn't that offensive in Ireland. I say it all the time! People tend to use it when they are joking." Of course we do, you mad c**t! Then, as if to cement the fecklessness of it all, Chelsea adds : "Follow the girls he called a shower of c**ts @..." and then she proceeds to give out their Twitter handles…

The Americans looking at the comments, however, weren't so amused, with one stating: "Note to all you Irish people - don't say that word in the US… it is one of the most offensive words out there." Another said: "I'm from America and my jaw just dropped when he said that."

Now. After watching the below video extensively, he says "D'you remember the last time I walked out here, you dislocated me knee, you shower of…" and - to be honest - it could be "hewers" or "c**ts" but either way the Americans won't like it.

A spokesperson for One Direction said: "Sometimes Niall forgets what he can and can't say to fans - and this is definitely something he shouldn't have said. He'll probably know that now but after a long tour the media training can wear off, especially if you don't think that anyone is watching. But Niall does love his fans (as you can see from the above photo, he happily posted for photos with his English fans in Heathrow) and you can be sure he wished he kept his mouth shut so he didn't offend anyone. " He just really needed to let off some steam after being so nice to everyone during his long tour.

Really though, if he had a cunning PR team, they could spin it to their advantage. You know, GaGa has her "monsters". Cheryl's got her "soldiers". Justin's got his "beliebers". And, didn't you know, Niall Hooooran's got his "hoors." A whole shower of them.
