British actress and wife of Liam Neeson, Natasha Richardson, has been transferred to a hospital in New York from Montreal. Ms Richardson, who has starred in The Parent Trap and won a Tony award in 1998, fell ill after a beginners skiing lesson went wrong. It is reported that she fell and tumbled down a hill while having a private lesson. The instructor rushed to her aid and she appeared to be fine. However, later she began to feel ill and was then rushed to a nearby hospital.

It is still unconfirmed as to what her condition is at this stage. Liam Neeson left the set of his new movie 'Chloe' to be by her side.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
