What's this #munsterrace twitter trend all about I ask ya? It's The Amazing Munster Race that's what. This morning 6 groups of players were dropped around the province and now the race is on to get to Youghal by Thursday evening.

Sounds easy enough. Well not exactly. See they’ve been given a number of different tasks to complete along the way and according to munsterrugby.ie “[they] will bascially have to rely on the hospitality of the community in return for some coaching tips, photographs and autographs.”

I get ya: ra ra ra, team spirit, supporting your community, yada yada yada.

So a quick search of #munsterrace will get you a lot of friendly locals offering up their services to the players and a handful of tweets from the players themselves. So far:

Billy Holland is looking for a free feed and somewhere to sleep in Dungarvan:

Shane Buckley is stuck in traffic:

And John Murphy is also looking for a food and lodgings:

We expect it’ll pick up once they get into the swing of things. Stay posted for updates on the lads progress.
