Entertainment.ie's Mike Sheridan, famed for his movie reviews, his Movie Show, his ultra/marathons (and, as a result, relieving himself in a slew of interesting places), and consuming large quantities of Coke Zero, chicken curries, and fistfuls of Twiglets in one sitting, is running for approximately 30 hours nonstop on April 26th. Of course he's not just doing it for the good of his health, he's doing it for charity.

Proudly supported by Champion Sports, Peugeot Ireland, Red Bull, Spin 1038 and entertainment.ie, Mike alongside Brian Maher of Spin 1038 will set out on a gruelling journey. 'Challenge 126' will see them run 126 miles (the equivalent of 5 marathons) in one day in aid of Special Olympics Ireland.

Pushing the limitations of physical and mental endurance, their journey will begin in Limerick City at 7am on Thursday 26th April. Approximately 30 hours later, they will arrive on Dublin’s Grafton St. Let's hope the weather is kinder to them than it was during last week's photo shoot

This year’s challenge is a notch up from last year's, which saw Brian run the same distance over an impressive 5 days - 1 marathon per day. In doing this, he managed to raise over €16,000 for Special Olympics Ireland. This year himself and Mike are aiming for €20,000. The sheer scale of this challenge has already garnered much attention, with their story being chronicled by the award-winning Technowolfe Films in a documentary.

Now, they are calling on you to support their challenge by making a donation through www.challenge126.com or by texting the word 'Donate' to 57252 (ROI) to give €2 (min. of €1 goes to Special Olympics Ireland) or 85122 (NI) to donate £1.50 (min. of £0.75 goes to the charity).

As the run itself approaches, there will be numerous opportunities to support Mike and Brian, kicking off with a launch party in Dublin's Grand Social, featuring live comedy, music and one hell of a raffle at 7pm on April 11th.Tickets here on entertainment.ie. You can also catch the lads at their in-store fundraising event at Champion in Jervis St Shopping Centre between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, April 21st.
