Scary Spice will reportedly co-host this year's Miss Universe Pageant. According to People.com, she will take a brief reprieve from penning hate songs inspired by Eddie Murphy to co-host the cermony with Jerry Springer in Vietnam on July 13. The Spice Girl (who was recently pictured leaving LAX airport in a wheelchair because her "hip was out of joint or something" from sitting on a plane for too long) released a statement saying: "I'm thrilled to be a co-host of the Miss Universe pageant. I believe the diversity and dedication that the pageant brings inspires and empowers young women across the globe." After surveying TV3's coverage of the Irish heat for this event, I have to say - what is "diverse" about a pack of Playboy clones parading their limbs about in bikinis, complete with scorched hair and skin? None of them remotely resembled Irish calinis (apart from the one in the curtain fabric). What ever happened to painfully pale skin and blue eyes, teamed with red hair, being sexy? *tumbleweeds*... OK, is it "empowering" to be part of an undulating mass of blonde hair and Fake Bake, thus shruging off the perils of individuality? Now, as for "dedication", they have that in abundance - it takes an entire evening to administer St. Tropez.
