Apparently the awards opted to bypass April this year. I could be wrong, mind - I started getting a bit boggle-eyed at this point of the research process... To make up for it, however, there were a fair few ceremonies in May, mainly involving Cannes around the 13th. It was basically the same people in different get ups throughout the week, but and enjoyable gander all the same. The rest of the fodder is tantastic and spangle central, what with the British Soap Awards on May 11th and our Walker TV Now Awards on the 24th - a ceremony I felt compelled to review/largely rant about ("It looked like it was taking place in the hold of the Yellow Submarine, which might explain the reverberating acoustics and the stifling heat"). It was received with mixed feelings.
