Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have now split up. And they were such a subtle couple who didn't feel the need to draw attention to themselves. I can't even locate a photograph of them together... which leads me to suspect they weren't in fact married at all and merely claimed they were cause everyone else was doing it.
Anyway, after marrying in low-key ceremony in Reynolds' native Canada in September 2008, which means they've lasted a marathon stint of two years, their very attractive union has come to an end.
A joint statement issued to WENN reads: "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
Just last September, Reynolds told America's GQ magazine his wife was "the best part" of his life. Somewhere, Alanis Morissette is cackling furiously.
Oh, news just in. Another Hollywood relationship has just bitten the big one... This time it's Dylan Walsh of Nip Tuck fame. He filed for divorce after six years of marriage. The wife isn't famous so it's not really big news.
To recap, in the last week, there's been five marriage splits and counting, including Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar, Michael C. Hall and his wife Jennifer Carpenter have filed for divorce, Anna Friel and David Thewlis are said to have parted ways.
