Themed and topical costumes for Halloween are nothing new, but it's the level of detail and ingenuity that goes into some of them that makes it really special.

This costume, however, really takes it to another level - a level where people try and sue hotels for falling off of a swing because they were holding two drinks. That's right - someone made a Halloween costume out of Maria Bailey's infamous #swinggate.

If you've been living under a rock for the past six months and have no idea what the hell we're talking about, here's a quick primer. Maria Bailey is a Fine Gael TD who tried to sue the Dean Hotel after she claimed she fell off a swing in the hotel and injured her back, arguing there were no instructions on how to use the swing.

The hotel, however, argued that Bailey was holding two drinks in her hand at the time of the incident and it later emerged that Bailey ran a 10KM run in under just three weeks after the incident occurred.

As the video of Niall Perill's costume demonstrates, you've got the swing, the blonde hair, the drink in one hand and whenever necessary, they can tumble right over.

Take a look.

It's pretty much perfect, but we'd throw in two additional props - one would be a drink in both hands, and the second would be a printed-out lawsuit that they could hand to people whenever they fall in front of them.

Actually, no, it's perfect just the way it is.
