It seems a bit of a rarity these days for people to have a physical copy of their pornography, what with the internet being riddled with the stuff, but one man in Japan was trying to offload quite the collection in a public park.
That is until the police stepped in, as they saw the man trying to hide a ridiculously large amount of adult material. According to AFP, the collection comprised "17 sacks of films and magazines, which included around 500 VHS video tapes" and he was caught in the act as he attempted to unload them from the back of a truck at a public park in Osaka.
Hideaki Adachi, the man in question, is 70 years of age, and was in fact doing one of his best friends a pretty big favour. As it turns out, his friend was quite ill and he decided to hide the massive collection for him, which he found in a storehouse that belonged to his bedridden friend. Adachi is an all round good guy too, as he worked as a "volunteer in the park helping homeless people, [and] had hoped that the huge collection of adult materials would be picked up and taken to a proper disposal site".
A spokesman stated that "he wanted to get rid of them out of goodwill for his friend", while the police have decided that no further action should be taken as he had hidden the videos so that they would not be seen and wasn't trying to simply give the porn away.
Adachi is, without doubt, the best pal that the guy who owns the collection will ever have. Only a true friend, when they find your stash of over 200 Kgs of porn, will say "I'll take care of that for you before anyone finds out, buddy". We salute you, Adachi.
