Sorry, I just don't get it. OK, I get Jimmy Carr winning Loaded Legend to a degree. I get the fact that Isy Suttie won Funniest Woman, probably because she contributed towards bringing us the image of David Mitchell coming over all peculier in a stationary cupboard. That and she bangs on about strap ons a fair bit.  I get the fact that the attendees of yesterday's Loaded Awards comprised of average looking averagely funny men and dolly bird ladies (with the exception of Suttie, I might add). I even get Comedy Dave winning over Karl Pilkington, however, if Ricky and Stephen makde Karl wear spangly spandex while travelling to "all the wonders" the outcome surely would've been different...

D'you know what, to save ourselves a lot of time, I pretty much get all the winners (OK, apart from Rhod Gilbert winning two awards) but what I really don't get, and what I didn't get last year , or the year before for that matter, is The Sun's Gordon Smart winning Funniest Columnist. If you've never read his column, he's so funny, that in the absence of canned laughter, he has to italicise the funny bit. If it was an award for 'Prettiest Columnist', Mr. Smart win hands down. But funniest? Nope, sorry. I read him (and the seven additional people he has writing his Bizarre column) every day. I also read The Mirror's 3AM Girls and, it has to be said, in recent times, they are far more amusing (when they're not being mindlessly debased, trying too hard to be kooky, or repeatedly resorting to "ginger" references wherever tenuously applicable). FAR funnier.

If pressed, Jeremy Clarkson should've won in my inconsequential opinion, however that would've really irked the Mexican Ambassador, so it was never going to happen this year.
