Lindsay Lohan is now (allegedly) being investigated for battery, Merry Christmas everybody!
From here on in, I'll mostly be quoting TMZ, as they're the ones who reside in the vicinity of Lindsay's hewp and are therefore at the forefront of all Lohan related happenings.
Yesterday, we touched on Lindsay being linked with two fellow rehabbers in Betty Ford who decided to get hammered somewhere in the grounds. Well, that wasn't the end of the story. As it happens, when Lindsay arrived back from her illicit soiree with her mates, one of the Betty Ford "staffers" got into a physical altercation with Lohan.
Said staffer who claims Lindsay Lohan assaulted her tells TMZ... "Lindsay had been drinking before the incident and hurt her so badly, she's now on workers' comp. Dawn Holland, who works as a chemical dependency technician at the Betty Ford Clinic, tells us on Sunday, December 12, just after 1 AM, Lindsay and two roommates came home from a night on the town... violating the curfew policy. Holland says Lindsay and company jumped a wall, trying to get inside the place she was staying without being noticed. Holland says security stopped the three women, and that's when Lindsay became belligerent and started swearing up a storm. Holland says she was called to do a breathalyzer on the 3 women, but Lindsay refused and then pushed her. Holland says she went back in the house and Lindsay called 911 on the house phone. Holland says she picked up another house phone to speak with 911, and Lindsay confronted her again and ripped the phone out of her hand, causing a severe sprain which caused Holland to go out on workers' comp. Holland says she could smell alcohol on Lindsay's breath. As for Lindsay's claim Holland touched her first, she says, 'I did not touch the woman'."
And, in yet more findings from TMZ:
"Lindsay Lohan claims the Betty Ford staffer who now claims she's the victim of battery was so abusive she made Lindsay cry. Lindsay is squarely disputing the story chemical dependency technician Dawn Holland told TMZ... that Lindsay attacked her and caused her to sprain her arm so severely she's on workers' comp. Lindsay says, for starters, she wasn't even with her two roommates hours before the incident. Lindsay says she was out getting her hair done (at 1am of a Sunday). Lindsay is telling her friends and family, when she returned to the house, Holland grabbed her abruptly and pushed her so hard, Lindsay began to cry. Lindsay says that's when she went inside the house and called 911. As for refusing to take a breathalyzer, Lindsay says she actually asked Holland to give her a test but Holland refused. Lindsay claims there were not only witnesses that saw everything... there are surveillance cameras to prove her story."
D'you know what, Lindsay totally had me until she claimed she was out getting her hair done. At 1am. Of a Sunday. That and why would a trained carer with a reputable rehab facility risk her job by lying?
Then again... Dawn Holland was accused of battery last year, by her husband, during their divorce proceedings: "Holland's husband claims in legal docs obtained by TMZ, she accused him of cheating and one day, 'She got out of bed. She hit me.' In another incident in 2008, Dawn's husband claims she 'lost control, broke up a lot of my personal property and attacked me, kicking me in the leg and causing a contusion'."
