The next time you're looking to get a day off work, maybe get your adorable child to write a letter requesting it for you in an impossibly cute fashion. It's better than ringing in sick and pretending you've got a cold, we imagine.

A young girl who wanted her Dad to get a day off on his birthday so she could spend a few hours with him decided to write a letter to his employer, Google, to let them know that he needs a little bit of time at home so he can put his feet up and get a bit of R&R...it is the summer after all.

Her letter, written in crayon, is impossibly lovely, and makes a very fair point in that he does only get Saturday off, so why not cut him a break?

The request somehow ended up in the hands of Senior Design Manager Daniel Shiplacoff, who is Katie's dad's boss, and he sent her an official response with exactly what she wanted to hear:

When found with crayon all over his hands, Katie's dad refused to make any comment... Seriously though, Google confirmed to The Blaze that both letters were legit, and they would be giving him the holidays as they promised.

We're off to the shop to get ourselves some crayons and practice our scrawling, child-like writing; we suggest you do the same. It can't hurt, can it?
