Some of Dublin’s hottest venues will soon play host to a unique evening of music and drinks with a twist in the form of Hennessy's The Art of Mixing.

Running across Dublin from May 6th and into June, Hennessy are mixing some of the best Irish DJs on the scene at the moment with delicious Hennessy cocktails to deliver an unforgettable experience, not to be missed!

The Art of Mixing will run for a period of 5 weeks across 15 of Dublin’s coolest venues, giving you an amazing opportunity to taste the different combinations of Hennessy as you listen to the likes of Kelly Anne Byrne, Ghostboy, Joma, Stephen Manning, Handsome Paddy and Louis Scully mix it up on the decks.

That won't be the only mixing going on however, as there will be a whole range of specially created signature cocktails available to try out that are unique to each venue, like Opium’s Hennessy creation, The Fig Concussion. An inventive mix from Tomasz Ostrowski of Hennessy V.S, Fig Liqueur, lemon juice, sugar syrup, a dash of Angostura Bitters, egg whites and a lemon twist. If you want to a fresh take on something simple and classic, then head to 1900 where the Neat & Sweet has been created by resident mixologist Jonathan McCarthy. A delicious blend of Hennessy V.S, Angostura bitters and simple syrup, it's sure to hit the spot.

To celebrate this unique collaboration, we've hand picked a few of our favourite mixes below that capture that sense of putting a creative spin on a classic, so sit back, relax and enjoy!

9. El Ten Eleven (Com Truise Remix)

Com Truise has garnered huge praise for his synth-infused lounge remixes. Working with acts such as FOE, Foster The People and Daft Punk, his laid-back beats and '80s-influenced sensibilities have made him a coveted producer. This chilled-out reworking of El Ten Eleven's Thanks Bill is one such example of his gorgeous work.

8.  SEBASTIEN TELLIER - Look (Original Mix)

The bearded Frenchman's seminal album, Sexuality, saw him join forces with Guy-Manuel de-Homem Christo to create a slick and refined offering that stormed the charts. Look, which became one of the lead singles from the album, is a light and breezy track with a fantastic chorus and a gliding melody that's perfect for a summer evening.

7. KAYTRANADA & MR. CARMACK - Ones (Original Mix)

Although Kaytranada is more known for his hip-hop, deep bass remixes, he's more than capable at cracking out a fantastic song of his own making. Working with Los Angeles' Mr. Carmack, Ones is a chilled-out mix with a wonderful sax track playing over a solid beat.

6. KOOL & THE GANG - Summer Madness (Blanc Remix)

Kool & The Gang's only jazz-influenced number, Summer Madness has since become a mainstay of their live act. As it's an instrumental, the track itself has been endlessly sampled, reworked and remixed by countless hip-hop and house DJs. This one, by Texan duo Blanc, is one of our favourites. Mellow, laid-back and effortlessly cool.

5. WASHED OUT x NAS - Soft Dreams

Wait What's mash-up of Nas' Illimatic album and chillwave outfit Washed Out's debut Within and Without produced a number of odd tracks, however the one that stands out is Soft Dreams. Slowing down Washed Out's uptempo beats to mould around Nas' deliberate, rhymes, the result is a dream-pop inspired track that sounds unlike anything you've heard before.

4. ROXY MUSIC - To Turn You On (Disco Pusher Remix)

Bryan Ferry, and by extension Roxy Music, have always thrived on reinvention. By making one of their finest works, 1979's Avalon, available for remixing to top producers, tracks such as To Turn You On were introduced to a new audience. This seamless remix by Disco Pusher gives an obscure album track a new lease of life.

3. CERRONE - Love In C Minor (Dimitri From Paris Remix)

Dimitri From Paris has built a career and reputation for digging out obscure disco classics - such as this - and giving a light reworking to make them more palatable to modern audiences. Disco aficiandos might think it's cannibalising classics, but it's breathing life into a genre that's lay dormant for years.

2. FLIGHT FACILITIES - Two Bodies (Karma Kid Remix)

Flight Facilities have always worked with exceptional talent, but enlisting 20-year old Karma Kid to rework one of the tracks from their debut is inspired. Filling a straightforward track with an ethereal, airy quality, it's a perfect summer track with its breezy layers and catchy rhythm.

1. WILD BELLE - It's Too Late (Anoraak Remix)

French outfit Anoraak have made their name by soundtracking unmade John Hughes movies with their laidback, disco-inspired tracks. With that in mind, remixing Wild Belle's groove-ridden It's Too Late means for something familiar yet unmistakable.
