Here comes the news we all kind of suspected fleetingly after she behaved herself at Glastonbury - Lily is housing an infant. She's the way of the Damian. She's going to be responsible for another little life in approximately 6 months - all thanks to her painter/decorator fellah, Sam Cooper. And presumably a bale of folic acid.
The 25 year old recently told Elle magazine, "I don't think I'm that young to have a baby. My mother had me when she was 23. Having a family will give me something more solid, something that exists, that makes me feel more grounded."
And Allen's dreams of being more grounded have come true - she told friends and family about her pregnancy at the weekend following her three month scan and has now confirmed the news to The Sun, chirruping: "It goes without saying we are both absolutely delighted."
Of her Cooper, she'd previously trilled: "I am treats me differently. He's told me he'll look after me forever. That's what I've always wanted - someone to look after me. We've never had one argument and there's absolutely nothing about him that annoys me. He's not impressed by what I do. I've been with guys and seen them looking in the mirror before they walk out of the door with me. That makes me feel sick because I know it's not just me they're interested in."
Allen's pregnancy news comes two and a half years after she suffered a miscarriage while dating Chemical Brothers' Ed Simons in 2008.
One has to commend someone who, at 25, is that certain she's ready for devoting her life to offspring. If she could bottle that I'd buy it.
