Yesterday, Lily did what she - and what most of the tweeting population - does best, she complained about something. In this instance, it was something of note considering her newborn required a jaundice check up and no one turned up.

She tweeted: "After speaking to the Brent midwifery team at 7 this morning, I was told to stay in all day and someone would be over to weigh my baby and do a jaundice assessment. Waited all day, and nothing, not even a phone call... I know it’s not the midwives’ fault but surely we can do better than this."

I can only begin to imagine what it's like waiting for your little one to be looked after. That aside, giving out about the NHS seems to be a national sport in the UK. I've watched so many episodes of One Born Every Minute at this point and I still marvel at the notion that everyone gets their own room - for labour and delivery. Lily Allen had a 'birthing suite'. I'll let you know how my stint in Holles Street's infamous 'Unit 3' goes...
