And for his next trick, Liam Payne admits on the 'Impaulsive' podcast to hating Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik at times while they were in the band together.

One Direction were an absolute cultural phenomenon back in the 2010s. Nobody can deny that. With a total of 70 million record sold worldwide combined with an extremely devoted (intense) fandom, you'd nearly forget that they were lumped together randomly on 'The X-Factor'.

While they were still just getting to know each other, they were also well on their way to becoming superstars. Chatting in a recent 'Impaulsive' interview, Liam Payne admits that it was quite challenging — in fact, they even "came to blows" one time.

Of Louis Tomlinson, fellow bandmate, Payne claims "Louis was wild. He wanted to be wild. He's got that spirit". He goes on to explain that the pair have sorted out their differences and are now besties. Awh.

It seems like despite there differences, the One Direction lads have a brotherly bond, which seems to be true especially for Payne when it comes to Zayn Malik. He says, "There’s many reasons why I dislike Zayn and there’s many reasons why I’ll always, always be on his side".

But, in the same breath, he says that there are some things Malik has done that he can't back him up on, "I can’t commend some of the things he’s done, I can’t be on his side for that". So, make of that what you will.

If you've ever been to a One Direction gig, you'd never have guessed that the same lads who are jumping around and giggling onstage together, looking like they were having the time of their lives, are the same lads that would get into squabbles backstage.

Payne references a moment where he and another member who he refuses to name "[came] to blows". Of the incident he recalls that one of the lads pushed him up against a wall and finally relinquished when Payne told him "So I said to him “If you don’t remove those hands there’s a high likelihood you’ll never use them again".

Yikes. We're glad that, according to Payne at least, there's no more beef between them and that we can listen to 'What Makes You Beautiful' knowing that all is well in One-D land.
