As we reported recently, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus tied the knot over the Christmas period. They had been dating on and off for the last decade so it should probably come as no surprise to anyone that they have finally made it official.

Cyrus took to her Instagram page to confirm the nuptials with a series of sweet photographs of the pair at the ceremony.

An interesting side effect of the pair announcing their marriage is that is has resulted in a huge surge of downloads for 'The Last Song', a 2010 romantic comedy penned by Nicholas Sparks, author of 'The Notebook'. Why is this movie so significant you may ask? The set of this film is where Cyrus and Hemsworth first met.

Miley Cyrus played a moody 14-year-old who takes a shine to a strapping young do-gooder played by Hemsworth.

Amazon Prime announced the spike in streams on its Twitter page:

"Miley and Liam’s wedding had everyone feeling sentimental this week. After news broke Wednesday, we saw a 2000% spike in streams of The Last Song. We love a happy ending. Congrats @mileycyrus and @liamhemsworth!" they announced.

We wish them all the best!
