We really needed this.

As of today on the web version, and from next week on Android, Gmail's newest feature allows you to block people instantly.

With just two clicks, you can now 'block sender', which is something you think you could have done by now, but obviously not.

A new 'unsubscribe' button has also been added for the same time frame, which will save you the hassle of having to click into individual e-mails and find that tiny unsubscribe text that's better hidden than Wally.

A message on Gmail's blog said "sometimes you get mail from someone who’s really disruptive. Hopefully it doesn’t happen often—but when it does, you should be able to say, 'Never see messages from this person again.' That’s why you can now block specific email addresses in Gmail".
