Once again, John Oliver makes the imminent collapse of US democracy all the more entertaining.

Seeing as how it's now less than 30 days out from the US General Election, you can imagine that basically all US television and content is gearing itself up for that.

'Last Week Tonight' kicked off with John Oliver going straight into the US General Election, and how Donald Trump and the Republicans are, and have always been, trying to suppress voting in predominantly black and Hispanic areas to ensure they're still in power.

Along the way, Oliver takes in a recent viral video made by a group of pole dancers advocating for voting enfranchisement, the fact that US Attorney General Bill Barr's stupid glasses, Donald Trump bullshitting about mail-in voting, and how Election Night is going to be a shitshow.
