That's another one gone off our list of potential child names...

Glorious North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has decided that he likes his name. In fact, he likes it so much that he doesn't want anyone else to have it and has demanded that people stop naming their kids after him.

A South Korean television station has apparently obtained a document that was leaked and included an “administrative order” to army, police and government officials to make sure that people were not using the name, and if anyone already had it, then they would need to change it.

According to The Independent, the memo reads: "all party organs and public security authorities should make a list of residents named Kim Jong-Un... and train them to voluntarily change their names”.

As a result of the ruling, all birth certs bearing the name of the dictator would be rejected, and if you were caught with the name then your identity cards, school diplomas and official documents would all be adjusted to reflect your new name. No word on who gets to choose your new moniker though...

The document also insisted that there should be no blabbing about the project (whoops) and authorities "should make sure that there is no one making unnecessary complaints or spreading gossip". The North Korean embassy in London refused to comment on it, but it seems that there was a similar rule in place for Kim Jong-Il, so this may not be a new idea.
