Katie Price was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery weeks after the birth of her and husband Kieran Hayler's son Jett Riviera - which itself had complications after Price suffered further issues caused by her pregnancy last week.

According to the Daily Mirror: 'Katie was obviously really worried, as was Kieran. It's been a difficult few months, as she has been plagued by so many complications. This was yet another problem for her to face, but once she had the emergency op, which went well, she was able to leave hospital late that night to return home to her children.'

Now back home with her children, Katie is said to have been grateful for her and Kieran's mothers who babysat when he took her in for the operation.

Jett Riviera's arrival in August - which was eight weeks early - came through emergency caesarean section in a French hospital, following an infection caught by Katie. Her then-unborn son's heart rate dropped to a dangerously low level, and he was taken into an incubator as soon as he was born.

Speaking after the birth, the 35-year-old mother-of-four said: 'Bringing life into the world is supposed to be magical. But what I went through was a nightmare. The only thing that had got me through the nightmare was the thought of cradling my little boy.'
