Over the past six days, there has been utter chaos around the world due to the eruption of the volcano in Eyjafjallajokull, or Ella as I like to call her ('tis easier). We've heard some of the most heart warming and tear jerking stories around the clock of stranded citizens abroad. This one couple in particular, no younger then 65, managed to travel from Singapore to Calais by boat, train, anything they could utilise and still had to make it across Britain to Ireland so that he could watch over some form of exams, fair play *nods*. There have been many stories about fathers missing their first childs birth, weddings that have had to take place over Skype, as family members weren't able to make it to the church on time (fingers crossed a certain best man and father of the groom [travelling from Dubai] can make to a wedding on Saturday in the UK that I am attending, eeek) but, there was one person who seemed to be over looked and we should feel utterly ashamed for doing so.
Katie Price has been stranded in Egypt for the past few days *wipes away tears*. Herself, Alex and Harvey made the trip to catch some rays but, when they were due to come home the flight was obviously cancelled. Fear not, I would say Katie had plenty of spondoola to pay for an extra few nights in a plush hotel. But as the crisis continued, Harvey was running low on his medication and it was vital Price got home so, she forked out a horrendous amount of money for a private jet. Not one to be selfish, though, she did offer the spare seats to other stranded Britains in her area and they were more then welcome to travel home with her.... at a cost. Apparently Katie said "anyone desperate to go home had to pay their way". I wonder did anyone take her up on the offer? Find out next week in her column.
