Kanye West is no stranger to publicity, but it seems that one TMZ reporter pushed the rapper too far by asking him a question about his wife.
In recent weeks, West has posted a series of his wife Bianca Censori in various NSFW pictures on his Instagram page - and when the reporter in question challenged him about them as he walked down the street with his face covered, he did not react positively.
In a clip that captured the incident, he reporter can be heard asking West "Does Bianca have free will? Some people are saying you're controlling..." as she films him on her phone.
West is seen grabbing the phone out of her hand before someone in the background yells 'She's TMZ, she's TMZ!'. The 'Heartless' rapper then confronts the woman, saying 'Do you think cos you're a white woman, you can walk up on me like that, and ask me some dumbass shit like that? Does my wife have free will? Are you crazy? This is America. Do you have free will, or do you work for the devil?'
West was in the Hollywood area to attend singer Charlie Wilson receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, when he added: "I'm a legend. Understand? I'm here to support Charlie Wilson, and you come ask me some dumbass shit about my wife. My wife! Did you ask questions when I wasn't able to see my kids?'
He then launched into a rant about only having visitation rights for the four children he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, and refused to give the reporter her phone back until she admitted that she had asked a 'dumbass, disrespectful question' of a 'grown-ass superhero'.
A police officer then approached the pair, asking them how they knew each other while West continued to demand the reporter's name, address and asked her 'what she made a year'. "I'll pay you double what they pay you," he said. "You wanna work for me instead?"
It's worth pointing out that Kanye West's controversial 'slavery is a choice' rant was filmed during a TMZ Live at the celebrity gossip site's HQ.
