Michael Jackson was in debt while he was alive but as soon as he pops his clogs, he starts raking in the cash. His estate is expected to make in advance of €140 million this year alone, surpassing the other rich dead celebs such as John Lennon, Kurt Cobain and Elvis.
A €70 million merchandising contract has already been signed and now a film is being put together with footage of his rehearsal for the series of London gigs he was due to perform over the next few months.
Kurt Cobain has long been the most successful dead start, having raked in around €500 million since his death 15 years ago. Poor Bob Marley has made only €30 million since he died, due to bootleggers.
