Independent TD Jackie Healy-Rae has died.
He was 83 years old.
The former Kerry South TD died in Kerry General Hospital this afternoon and is survived by his wife, four sons and two daughters.
Healy-Rae was originally a member of Fianna Fail, however he split from the party in 1997 following their decision to drop him from the ballot.
His son, Michael Healy-Rae took his Kerry South seat in the Dail following his retirement.
