Thanks for the mammaries Irish Sun, it’s been real. For years The Irish Sun have been keeping abreast of all things in the topless ladies world but today they have announced that Page three will no longer show bare breasts.
So far this week The Irish Sun’s page three has featured Dutch model Sylvie van der Vaart and Rosanna Davison but unlike previous editions of Page Three, they’re wearing clothes and although they’re snapped on a beach, they don’t look nippy at all.
Talking about his reasons for the cover up, Editor Paul Clarkson said: "In the Irish Sun we strive to share the qualities that make the newspaper great in print and digital, but we also strive to cater for our own readers’ need and reflect the cultural differences in Ireland."
His reasoning sounds very noble. considering the subject matter he could easily have made a boob of himself. Will you miss the old Page Three or do you welcome the cover up?
