So it turns out we're some of the world people in the world. At least while we're on the road anyway.

A study conducted by the AA, which took in info from over 7,500 drivers on Irish roads, has shown some of our road users worst habits, and they make for some pretty grim reading.

While some are worse than others, and we're all guilty of doing some of them at some point in our lives, some of these are absolutely shocking.

Texting while driving

Probably the easiest one to think of, and the one most people are guilty of. Over 25% of people claim to see other drivers sending texts on a daily basis, but we'd rather know how many people admit to doing it themselves.

Holding a handheld device while on the road

Over 45% of people claim to see people holding their phone while driving every day. This could be anything from sending a text, talking on the phone, checking their Twitter, or basically any use of a phone that could potentially harm the lives of others.

Using your phone while stopped at a red light

But it's a red light, we're stopped, we can't hit anyone wile we're stopped, right? Wrong. Well, technically I guess that's right, but it doesn't make it OK. It impairs your knowledge of your surroundings and increases the risk of an accident once you take off. You'd think we could just sing along out of tune to whatever's on the radio for 20 seconds, but with over 30% of people see this daily, so obviously not.

Putting on makeup or shaving while driving

Wow. Seriously? 10% of people see this daily, with 21% saying they see it on a regular basis. Just get up five minutes earlier, or maybe go without make-up/with a beard for the day, it won't be the end of the world.

Being rude or aggressive while driving

It's not road rage, it's called driving, and I'm just annoyed that everyone else isn't as good at it as me.

Nearly 18% of people say they see people acting rude or aggressive on the road every day, which segways very nicely into the final stat.

Signalling incorrectly at a roundabout

1.89% of Irish road users say they see people incorrectly using their indicators at a roundabout every day. 1.89%? F*CK OFF

INDICATORS!!

How many times do I scream INDICATORS!!! while I'm driving every day. As a conservative guesstimate I'd say about 738 times, roughly.

So judging by that stat this survey has only proven one of two things. Irish people are either filthy liars, or they literally pay no attention while they're behind the wheel of a car.
