Michael, one of the main characters from GTA V, lives in a pretty swanky pad in the fictional city of Los Santos.
Essentially, it's a huge mansion with a swimming pool, a tennis court, and everything you expect from a millionaire criminal, and while most of us have imagined what it would be like to own a huge house like that, one Irishman has decided to use the internet to make it a reality.
Paul Boyle has started a crowdfunding page on Kickstarter to raise the necessary €1.67 million that would bring the project from the imaginary surrounds of the video game to the real world, specifically in Carlingford, Co. Louth.
In his description of the project, Boyle states that he wants to recreate the house to scale, and "to include the interior and exterior of the property as it is projected in the video game". If you pledge €4, you'll get updates of the build and pictures and video from inside the house; a donation of €400 will get your picture on a tile in the bottom of the pool (not that it would get much use in this country); handing over €900 will get you a tour of the house and grounds when it's completed, and a donation of €5,000 towards Paul's dream will get you a three night stay as a guest.
He's got a bit of a ways to go yet though, as so far he's only raised €25. He's got just over a month and a half to raise the rest , which seems like a tough ask, but baby steps, Paul, baby steps...
