So, eh...well done on that we suppose.
There's nothing us Irish folks love more than listing our achievements to show off how great we are, and we now have another title to add to the list, albeit a bit more of a dubious one than others: we secured ourselves a place in the list of the top ten cheaters in the world.
The stats were compiled by Sex.com (in case you can't tell from the domain name, that would be an extremely NSFW link) for a recent blog post on the whole Jay-Z/Beyonce thing, as it turns out that the statistics say that men who watch a lot of porn are more likely to stray than those that don't. Much more so, as it turns out; apparently a good three times more likely according to the results of a study in the Social, Psychological and Personality Science journal.
With those stats to draw from, the folks at Sex.com checked them against their own numbers to see where the people who visited their website most frequently came from, and what was the search term they were using most often. Again, this chart contains some NSFW language, and you can click on it for a bigger image if needed.
The results show Ireland sitting proudly in ninth place, and if the stats are to be believed, then not only do plenty of Irish people (which the blog encourages us to assume are almost entirely men) watch porn online, but the word that brings them there is...well you can see it written above.
