Elton John and David Furnish have been devastated ever since a court ruled that Sir Elton was too old and gay to adopt a Ukrainian boy called Lev. In an attempt to have some sort of connection with the 17month year old, Elton and David have now decided to support Lev and his three year old brother, Artyom, by paying for their schooling and any hospital bills.
So, in other words, they are going to sponsor them. After meeting the little boy in a HIV positive kids orphanage, the celebrity couple fell instantly in love with the young boy, but a court banned them from adopting. Now Elton is campaigning for the law to be changed. He will be picketing outside Westminster demanding for his voice to be heard and, if this fails, himself and David will chain themselves to the railings at number 10, indefinitely.
Well, maybe the last bit isn't true, but hey, that would be amusing.
