The pair's ongoing feud has reared its hilarious head yet again.
Hugh Jackman is up for an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie award at this year's Emmys (up against our own Paul Mescal, no less) for his role in HBO's 'Bad Education'. And there's another reason for him to celebrate - as he's managed to drag his frenemy into the firing line once again. Here's the latest on the Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds feud.
Speaking to E! on his fresh TV nomination, Jackman said: "It's a good way to wake up! I feel really good. I'm thrilled the film got nominated. Good day in our house."
However, when asked if the actor had received any words of encouragement from his 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' co-star, the Australian managed to drag Reynolds' wife Blake Lively into the fold too.
He said: "Lots of texts from everyone I know, nothing from Ryan. But Blake… Hang on, I'm just reading it now."
He quipped that Lively had texted her husband's reaction, which read: "'He's devastated. He says he's not getting out of bed for three days. This is the greatest gift you've ever given me'. That's all I got from Blake."
Jackman also managed a double-burn on Reynolds, after the 'Deadpool' star questioned if his nomination was truly deserved. Writing on his Instagram post of Reynolds' reaction "Careful Bub... you’re looking a bit green," making a dig at the actor for his failed 'Green Lantern' movie franchise.
The ball is not well and truly in Reynolds' court now - let's see what sort of retort he can drum up next.
