We do love a good proposal video – mainly because the cringe factor is usually off-the-scale for most of them.
This one, however, is really very sweet and was captured over the weekend at Electric Picnic.
During the 'Sing Along Social' – basically a joyful group singalong of various well-known songs – host Aoife McElwain got everyone at the packed Heineken Live Your Music stage to go down on one knee, before singling a guy called Mark out.
To his shock, when he turned to his boyfriend Sean, he wasn't just on bended knee – he was holding a ring and had a question to ask.
As he explained on Twitter, the newly-engaged couple (who you may have also seen on RTE series Buyers' Bootcamp recently) first met at Electric Picnic seven years ago when Mark asked Sean out in a tent at the Andy Warhol campsite. It's only right, so, that their love story was cemented at the same festival.
The crowd then joined in a rendition of Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' to serenade the happy pair.
This tweet said it best:
Watch my friend Sean proposing to his boyfriend Mark at #electricpicnic2019 on the weekend. Post #MarRef - this is how sound people in Ireland react to two people who are love - regardless of their sexual expression. Tearing up everytime I watch it - #RealLove ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 https://t.co/AlTzoOYTz7
