Apple held their big press event in San Francisco today, where assembled media and tech experts finally got a look at their new range of products.

Here's a round-up of the newly announced products, so you can start getting your Christmas letters prepared early.

Nintendo head game designer Shigeru Miyamoto took to the stage to reveal the first ever Mario game for iOS. Super Mario run will be launched this December, and you can read more about it here.

The second generation of iWatches was launched. The new watches will be cheaper, will have a faster processor, improved displayed, greater range of band designs, and will be swim proof, meaning that you can wear it in the pool withcout it getting damaged. There's new software to go along with the watch will allow you to call emergency services using the watch, and will also integrate with Pokemon Go.

 A new operating system, iOS 10 was launched, which will have many new features including finally allowing users to delete of some of the pre-installed apps, including the Stocks app, which we're pretty sure only about 10 people in the world actually use.

As expected, the highlight of the event was the launch of the brand new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They have refined the design of the phone, and updated the home button. The new phones will include an improved camera, with the front facing camera now featuring 7 megapixels. The cameras will have better flash, and high-speed sensors.

Confirming previous rumours, the headphone jack has been removed, but the phones will come with improved external stereo speaker. New phones will include an adaptor for those who want to use their existing headphones and apple are launching wireless earbuds (called air pods).

In addition to all this, the new phones will be dirt and water resistant, and will have improved battery life. It will come in new colour jet black, as well as the standard black, gold, silver and rose gold. It will be available in 32, 128 256 gb memory. The new phones will be launched on September 16th.
