The star has been hassled to reveal his sexuality for years now and guess what? You can mind your beeswax.

From the moment the 16-year-old baker stepped onto the 'X-Factor' stage, people have agreed "Isn't He Lovely"? We're pretty sure that if you showed teen Harry, who was all curls, dimples, and a skinny scarf, himself ten (ish) year into the future, that he'd be surprised.

The 28 year old has come a long way since 'One Direction', at least style-wise; he loves his sequins, his feather boas, skirts, and dresses. He shows us with that feminity and masculinity are not mutually exclusive.

Just as he has learned to have fun with and care less about fashion, he's had to develop the same attitude when it comes towards sex and his sexuality.

"The whole point of where we should be heading, which is toward accepting everybody and being more open, is that it doesn’t matter, and it’s about not having to label everything, not having to clarify what boxes you’re checking," he tells Better Homes & Gardens.

There's something very Freddie Mercury about the way in which Harry ... doesn't give a sh*t. He wears what he wants, he says what he wants, and his music has a similar pulsing, pop Queen feel (but more mellow?).

Harry breaks and blurs our perceptions of gender in the same way Queen did. Freddie hoovered the house in a skirt and a mustache so that Harry could wear a weird knitted skirt-suit in Vogue.

He gets candid about how people have made him feel in their hunt for confirmation of his sexual identity, with their guesses derived from his choice in clothing, for example, “I felt so ashamed about [edit: my sexuality], ashamed at the idea of people even knowing that I was having sex, let alone who with".

Ultimately, Styles has overcome his shame, but that doesn't mean he's going to be spilling the beans on his private life, "it's mine". Plus like, have you heard 'Watermelon Sugar'? That's enough detail, we reckon.

Listen out for Harry's new album 'Harry's House' which comes out on the 20th of May.
