Halle Berry has named her son Maeco Robert Martine.

Berry,  who had her first child with husband Olivier Martinez on Saturday, has given the baby a Spanish moniker, and according to gossip website TMZ the name, which means 'Gift of God', coincides with Olivier's dad's Spanish origin. It is said Halle's five-year-old daughter Nahla - who she had with ex-fiancé Gabriel Aubry - has already visited her new baby brother at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

A source previously said: 'Olivier hasn't left Halle's side. Nahla visited her baby brother earlier today.'

When Halle revealed the couple were expecting a boy earlier this year, she explained her daughter was excited to for the 'miracle' of a brother.

She previously said: '[Nahla's] really happy. Not long ago she asked God for a little sister, but I tried not to get her hopes up. At 46, I didn't know if I'd be able to get pregnant again. Olivier and I have always wanted to be parents. But I didn't want to get my hopes up ... God made the dream come true. This pregnancy is like a miracle for me, an amazing gift, because this child was as wished for as it was expected. It's like a renewal of life ... Good things happen too.'
