The 35-year old, who was arrested in Florida last Wednesday for hacking in the region of 50 celebrity email accounts over an 11-month period, had this to say of his crime:

"I wasn't saving the emails to blackmail someone. It started as curiosity and it turned to just being addictive... (he was more interested in ) seeing behind the scenes of what's going on with the people you see on the big screen... Someone contacted me wanting the pictures. I don't even know who it was. No, I didn't give that person any pictures. I never wanted to sell or release any images. I deeply apologise. I know what I did was probably the worst invasion of privacy someone could experience."

And that's what he got off on most.

According to Sky News, Chaney is due to appear in court in Florida, although he is expected to be tried in Los Angeles. He faces up to 121 years in jail if convicted. Which he'll probably spend in his house.
