We think it's fair to say that for a good few hours, this was the loneliest man on the planet.

Meet Robbie Chernow. Robbie flew to Chicago yesterday to celebrate his friend Jake's bachelor party, which was a great idea, until he found out the rest of the party had their flights cancelled, leaving him alone to celebrate the sending off of a friend who wasn't even present.

Not willing to let the trip be ruined, Robbie tried his best to make the most of the holiday, despite being on his own, and decided to document his trip using the ChicagoForOne hashtag. First he went to a Chicago Bears game, and looked pretty happy about it.

Next came a boat trip, which he didn't seem overly enthused about. We don't blame him.

Things weren't much better at the pier, even with a merry-go-round.

Not even some delicious food could cheer Robbie up as the gravity of the situation began to take its toll.

Seriously, someone go befriend this guy. But until that happens, here's a few more photos of the loneliest man on Earth. If you want to keep up-to-date with his journey, because it hasn't ended just yet, head on over to his Instagram account.

You said it, pillar! #chicagoforone
