Rockstar Games will roll out their landmark title Grand Theft Auto 5 to next generation consoles later this month and anyone who was expecting a rehashing of last year's PS3 and Xbox 360 releases is in for a BIG surprise.

In what is probably the biggest shift in the GTA series since they abandoned the top down view for Grand Theft Auto 3 on the Playstation 2, Rockstar have revealed that GTA V will give the player the option to explore the sprawling hills of Los Santos in first person (basically putting you inside the body of Michael, Trevor or Franklin) and letting you run riot -quite literally - in the virtual game world.

As well as this massive shift, the game has also been updated to make use of the massive upgrade in processing afforded by the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles. There is more wildlife, more cars, more traffic, more radio stations, more civilians...more everything. Basically, the game world of Los Santos has become a heaving, breathing mass of people, all of whom can be trifled with in some way or another.

The game will also house updated side-missions and greatly improved graphics and visuals and we are incredibly giddy with excitement...

GTA V will be available from November 18th on PS4 and Xbox One.
