Grab your thunder buddies and start singing the song, folks, because it's looking like a loud evening ahead for parts of the country.

According to our pals at Met.ie, this evening will see the country dealing with "prolonged, heavy showers with thunder" that "may lead to localised flooding." It won't be Baltic, though, as temperatures are expected to stay between 15 and 18 degrees.

So it seems we had our (almost) two days of summer last week. Sorry, we'd try to be optimistic but there's a lot to be said for lowered expectations.

Be careful if you're out and about anyway, folks. Doesn't sound like ideal travel conditions.
