The people of the internet are no longer impressed by being taken to the front door of their house on the internet, they want to go further, further than they ever imagined...
Or at least to the Amazon, which Google already did the other week, and now to the Himalayas. In a blog post about the latest offering on Street View, Google explained that with the help of Apa Sherpa (the man with the most successful climbs of Everest - 21) they were able to capture panoramic 360 views of the world's most stunning mountain range, and can now offer those images to everyone and anyone who uses Google maps.
Google being Google, they've made a slick video to accompany the announcement, and while it's not the same as being there, it does capture some amazing footage of one of the planet's most awesome regions.
