It's easy to get swept up in the glitz and glamour of big Hollywood awards ceremonies.

But once the lights go off and everyone goes home, it's easy to forget that all of the stars and the award-winners have to go home too - and some of them get the midnight munchies, too.

Although this year's Golden Globes saw the guests served sushi by Chef Nobu Mastuhisa during the ceremony, it seems that the fishy treats didn't hit the spot with Paul Giamatti.

The 'Holdovers' actor, who won Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical for his role in Alexander Payne's film, was spotted digging into a burger and chips in American chain In-N-Out Burger, with his Golden Globe set nonchalantly on the table in front of him.

Meanwhile, it seems that Cillian Murphy made a hasty exit from Los Angeles on Monday and wasted no time in flying home to Dublin yesterday.

Of course, the Aer Lingus staff on his flight were only too happy to ferry him across the Atlantic, given his extra-special hand luggage.

The Cork actor, who also won the 'Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actor' at the Palm Springs International Film Festival last Thursday, had explained to the audience while collecting that award that he was accompanied by his wife and one of his sons - but that the other was at home doing exams.

Hopefully the young Murphy man passed with flying colours and wasn't too upset about missing his dad's big week.

On the other hand, there'll undoubtedly be another big glitzy awards do to attend on March 10th...
