Feel that chill in the air this morning? Well get used to it, as the the rest of the week and probably the month are set to be ice cold.

Ice cold. Thanks Andre.

While parts of the north, west and midlands had their first snow last night, the rest of us have to brace ourselves for a cold and bright day with 'some wintry showers', but it's set to get even colder and windier tonight, with temperatures of 0 to 5°C with strong to gale force winds. Or as Met Eireann optimistically puts it 'Cold, cloudy and very windy tonight with squally showers'. Yay. So this is how you should spend your evening.

The rest of the week is set to get even colder, with gusty winds and clear skies leading to temperatures dropping to -5°C on Thursday night. O hai big chill, thanks for coming in out of nowhere. Now get thee to Penney's for some scarves, hats and gloves. It's every man for themselves.
