It's seriously, absolutely bleedin' massive.

The MSC Splendida pulled into Dublin earlier this morning, and it is certainly a sight to behold. Taller than the highest building in the Dublin skyline, Liberty Hall, the ship is 333m long and the longest ship to ever call at Dublin Port.

It's also currently ranked as the 11th longest cruise ship in the world, and the 4,600 passengers and crew on board were greeted at the port as they disembarked to get a look at the sights of Dublin city.

As you can see from some of the pictures tweeted, it's a fairly impressive sight both on the horizon and up close.

The arrival of the ship marks the start of cruise season at Dublin Port with 83 cruise calls confirmed for this summer, which will see 140,000 tourists coming through the city to experience the best that Ireland has to offer.
