Anyone heading to France this summer, or yet to book a holiday, might want to put this on their to-do list. The French city of Bordeaux is finally opening a tourist attraction dedicated to their most famous export, wine.

We're surprised that there isn't already a wine museum, it seems like something France would have.

La Cite du Vin will be somewhat similar to Dublin’s own Guinness Brewery, offering tours explaining the wine making process and the importance of wine to the French region. There will also be wine tasting sessions for those who wish to learn more about the drink. The tour will be available in 8 different languages, including English.

According the museum’s website, the architecture of the building has been designed to reflect wine swirling in a glass, as well as the twists and turns of the regions rivers.

The Museum opens on June 1st. If they open a cheese museum next door, we might just move there.
