Simon Cowell is 'thrilled' that the US X Factor has been given a second season... Well, it has been luring in approximately 13million viewers per episode. Even if Steve Jones has the personality, charm and adlibbing abilities of a startled goat on an American stage.

Fox reality programming chief Mike Darnell said the decision to keep the show, in which (often pre-picked) singers compete for an unprecedented $5 million prize (of which they might see a sliver of) and recording contract, was a 'no brainer'. In a statment, Darnell said: "Simon and his team have done an incredible job with the show, and I'm absolutely thrilled to bring back The X Factor for another fantastic season." Cowell added that he was, "absolutely thrilled with the news" and wedges of money coming his way.

What will clinch a ten year run of this show on FOX is Dermot. GoWAN, Simon, ship wee Dermot and his dynamic dancing skills over to L.A. to show Stilted how live TV should be done. Or you could just concoct the usual "feuds" to keep people watching. Oh, Kelly Rowland is home after she wasn't sick at all in L.A. She's cleared things up with Tulisa, what a load off my mind. At least Simon's not fighting with anyone one on the American version in a bid to give them depth, as if!

Oh. Say. It. Ain't. So *rustles newspaper* "Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell are reportedly AT WAR over Cowell's criticism of her X Factor acts"

If you can bare to read on, Radar Online reports: "Simon said last week he didn't like Stacy Frances' song and called her a 'church singer', which Nicole took as a huge insult. It actually wasn't. It was about Nicole picking the wrong style song for Stacy. This week Simon started appearing at Nicole's acts during rehearsals. He thinks it's hilarious that Nicole got so mad with him last week and loves the fact Nicole's acts seek his approval. This week he's even taking credit for choosing Stacy's song."

Yep.Totally "AT WAR".
