Terry Bradbury played for Chelsea in the 1950s, long before the multi-million pound contracts that footballers are on these days, but he still managed to strike it rich after winning a lot of money on the lottery.

Bradbury, now aged 75, played for Chelsea, Southend United, Leyton Orient and Wrexham in his time as a professional, earning £25 pounds a week at the London club, where the players would get £4 bonus for a win, and £2 for a draw.

He and his wife Eleanor struck it lucky this weekend however, when they picked up the much larger sum of £5,517,016 after hitting the lotto jackpot. The couple stated that they would use the money to buy a villa in Spain where the family can all go on holiday, and the rest would provide security for their four sons and nine grandchildren.

When asked about modern footballers and their hug contracts, Bradbury said "Good luck to them. You can't blame the sportsmen. If someone offered you another £1,000 a week you would go", so it certainly sounds like he's on Raheem Sterling's side...
