David Beckham is set to hang up his boots, putting an end to a glittering career in football. Beckham began his career with Manchester United in 1992 when he made his debut at the age of 17. Since then the 38 year old has carved his name in the history books becoming arguably one of the most iconic sportsmen of his generation.
Despite Paris Saint-German offering him an extended one-year deal, Sportsmail reported that Beckham has played his last game. The man himself has so far been un-available for a comment.
Beckham who played for some of the biggest clubs in the world: Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan and LA Galaxy will now continue his love for football in an ambassadorial capacity with a number of organsiatios including: Sky Sports, adidas and Unicef.
It is estimated that Beckham is worth a whopping £165 million making him the richest British athlele ever.
