In case you missed the news somehow, it turns out Robbie Keane is the greatest player that soccer in the US has ever seen, but there was plenty else happening elsewhere in the world of football this weekend.

Let's start in the home of football, Belgium, where Zulte Waregem's James Troisi scored a fantastic goal against his compatriot (and Socceroos team-mate) Mat Ryan which is worthy of mention this fine Monday. A fantastic long-range chip that could even have beaten the 'keeper if he was standing on his line, Troisi will remember this one for a while.

While we've already seen some action from the MLS Cup, we did like this bit of "assistance" that was offered by AJ Soares to the Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo, who he possibly felt was not as injured as he was letting on. He gave him a helping hand, and then a not so helping hand too.

Back to the important business of scoring great goals, and a man who knows all about that in recent weeks is Udinese's Bruno Fernandes, who slapped home a rather brilliant goal against Inter last night.

Speaking of lovely goals, why not enjoy this beauty from Brazil, where Marcelo Moreno pulled off some fine acrobatics to score for Cruzeiro in the last game of the league season.

Evian's Cedric Barbosa did his part in trying to help his side get three points, but despite his best efforts they still lost to Lyon this weekend. However, on the way to that loss he scored this simply sublime free kick that is about as picture perfect as you can get.

And just as a bonus, here's the David Moyes & U2 mashup that you never knew you needed to hear.
